Every change of a component, an incident, an update or a maintenance phase is pushed to every open page over a persistent connection. The page shows the change without a reload, usually within a second. ## Live Indicator Every page shows "Live" with the time of the last confirmation of the server. When no confirmation has arrived for 30 seconds, the page shows a warning that it may not be current. ## Missed Changes Each change has a sequence number. A page that loses its connection and connects again receives the changes it missed. When too many changes were missed, it receives the full state again. When a persistent connection cannot be made, for example because of a proxy or firewall, the page asks for the state every 30 seconds instead. ## Attention on Change A changed component is highlighted for a minute. The title and the favicon of the browser tab show the overall state, so a tab in the background tells it too. Changes are announced to screen readers: politely for a minor change and immediately for a major one.
