Invantive Drive is installed by running the MSI file: - Make sure that the .NET 10 runtime is installed. The installer stops before it installs anything when the runtime is missing. - Download the MSI file from the [download](https://go.invantive.com/download/invantive-drive) link. - Run the MSI file and follow the steps of the installer. Only one version of Invantive Drive can be installed at a time. - Start Invantive Drive from the start menu. - The app opens its window and starts the drive when at least one database has been added. Without a database the drive stays paused, and "Home" explains that a database must be added. See [[Invantive Drive/Procedures/Add a Database|Add a Database]]. The drive folder is `Invantive.Drive` in the user profile. Windows File Explorer shows it as "Invantive Drive". Every Windows user that starts the app gets a drive of their own. ## Uninstall Uninstalling stops the app and the engine, and unregisters the drive of the user who removes the product. The unregistering removes the drive folder in the user profile together with its content. - Check in "Sync activity" that no file is still uploading. See [[Invantive Drive/Procedures/Follow Sync Activity|Follow Sync Activity]]. - Remove "Invantive Drive" through "Apps" in the Windows settings. The databases and the sign-in remain in the settings of the user.
