Invantive Estate keeps the budget, the contracts and the results of real estate development projects in one place. A project developer sees per project what was budgeted, what is ordered, what has been invoiced and what the project is expected to earn. A financial controller sees the same figures per cost category and per period. A project secretary registers orders, revenues, processes, hours and documents.
The central question of the product is the prognosis of the result of a project at its end. The prognosis is compared with the budget, and the difference is the deviation. See [[Invantive Estate/Concepts/Deviation and Prognosis|Deviation and Prognosis]].
## Who Uses It
The product is meant for organisations that develop real estate in large volumes, such as housing, offices, shops and parking places. Typical users are:
- project developers, who prepare the budget and follow the prognosis;
- controllers and the financial administration, who keep the figures in line with the general ledger and release deviations;
- product group directors, who follow a group of projects through the reports;
- project secretaries and employees, who register processes, hours and documents;
- the application manager, who sets up users, roles and the reference data.
## How the Pieces Fit
Invantive Estate is an application built with [[Invantive Studio/Invantive Studio|Invantive Studio]] on the Invantive Producer platform. The data lives in an Oracle database. The tables and views of the application are generated from a model, which is why every row carries the same audit columns and why a project can be looked at as it was on an earlier date. See [[Invantive Estate/Concepts/Project Versions|Project Versions]].
The application can be used in three ways:
- Invantive Estate for Windows: the main window with a navigation tree, lists, summaries and edit screens. See [[Screens]].
- [[Invantive Estate/Invantive Estate for Outlook|Invantive Estate for Outlook]]: an add-in for Microsoft Outlook to plan processes and register hours from the calendar.
- A web interface, on which the original manual of the product is based.
Financial data comes from the financial administration of the organisation. Invoices, invoice lines, revenues, organisations and cost categories are normally not typed in but loaded from an ERP system. The menu of the product shows interfaces for Exact Online, Exact Globe, King, Reeleezee, UNIT4 Multivers, Twinfield and Imtech Eniac. See [[Invantive Estate/Functional Areas|Functional Areas]].
