Before Invantive Estate is used, the application manager sets up the reference data: code tables that give the other subjects their values. Each table has its own screen under "Administration". The examples below come from the original manual of the product. They show what a table is for and are not fixed values.
## Project
- Project clusters, also called product groups of projects, divide projects into themes. Examples: shops, houses, offices, area development, special projects and internal projects. Staff often work in the same cluster, because the work needs the same skills.
- Project phases: planning, acquisition, development, realisation and wrapping up.
- Land statuses: the state of the land of a project, for example included in an approved zoning plan, construction permit granted, private land or ready for construction.
- Project relation types describe how two projects relate, for example ground and superficies, or successor and precursor.
- Project version categories name the kind of snapshot: quarterly review, business plan, review or draft.
## Cost Types
- Master roll ups group roll ups in a few main categories. Example codes: 1000 to 1999 purchase costs, 2000 to 2999 contractor sum, 9300 revenues, 9900 taken result.
- Roll ups group cost types.

- Cost centres: a department of the company to which costs can be attributed.
- General ledger codes, which tie cost types to the general ledger.
## Processes
- Process categories, for example documentation, failure, installation, milestone, sales and request for leave.
- Process origins: who or what caused a process, such as the owner, a local resident, a customer or an incoming invoice.

- Process unit statuses: entered, sold, billable and invoiced.
- Repeat generators, which tell how often a process is generated from a contract.
