The "Process Categories" screen registers and changes process categories. A process category is a group of processes (see [[Invantive Estate/Subjects/Budget Control/Processes|Processes]]). Common categories are Complaint, Malfunction, Request and Modification. A category indicates the type of a process. A fixed workflow can be linked to a category, as described in [[Invantive Estate/Subjects/Administration/Process Status Transition|Process Status Transitions]]. The screen contains the following fields: - "Code": The code of the process category. - "Description": The description of the process category. - "Sort Order": A numeric value that determines the order of the categories when a screen shows them in a list box. - "Milestone": Indicates whether the processes in this process category are milestones. - "Process": Indicates whether the processes in this process category are of the type "process". A process has this type when it does not result in an end product but supports the process.
