The "Additional Business Rules" screen registers and changes supplementary business rules. Additional business rules are used for: - Adding additional checks, such as "no orders out of budget". - Performing actions, such as "send email". - Providing fields with a default value. The entry fields are: - "Application": The name of the application to which the additional business rule applies. - "View": The name of the view to which the additional business rule applies. - "Column Name": The name of the column to which the additional business rule applies. - "Event Category": The type of event that starts the additional business rule. Use the standard values where they apply and `<Action>` in all other cases. - "Sort Order": A numeric value that sorts the additional business rules when a list box shows them. - "Active": Indicates whether the additional business rule is active. - "Synchronization Required": When checked, the package needs recalculation after a change to an additional business rule. [[Invantive Estate/Subjects/Advanced/Background Jobs|Background Jobs]] perform the recalculation of the package. - "Synchronization Executed": The date on which the last synchronisation of this additional business rule took place. - "Group": The group of the additional business rule. Groups help to organise additional business rules by business process or in another way. - "Expression": A SQL expression that determines the values in the column, if the column is filled. If the column is `<Action>`, the expression is a SQL/PL code block instead. - "Comments": Notes on the additional business rule. The other fields are: - "Package": The name of the package that includes the additional business rule. - "Errors": The errors in the package, if any. A PL/SQL code block in "Expression" can use the following references: - `:action`: the SQL statement that executes the business rule, being `INSERT`, `UPDATE` or `DELETE`. - `:action_moment`: the moment at which the additional business rule runs, being before (`B`) or after (`A`) the update of the business object. - `:last`: the last added value of the business object. When deleting, this is the situation before the deletion. In all other cases it equals `:new`. - `:old`: the previous value of the business object. - `:new`: the new value of the business object.
