The "Code Values" screen registers and changes code values.
A code is a list of values with a common denominator. Application development widely uses codes to construct domains. A domain can, for example, store a list of values for a field. The "Revenues" screen, for example, shows a code list for the number of periods.
The [[Invantive Estate/Subjects/Advanced/Codes|Codes]] screen registers the codes. This screen registers the individual values of a code.
Registering code values is a typical activity for application developers. See the warning under Application Development.
The entry fields are:
- "Code": The code that refers to the code list.
- "Code Value": The code of the individual value, for example `K`.
- "Description": The description of the code value, for example "Costs".
- "Sort Order": A numeric value that sorts the codes when a list box shows them.
The other fields are:
- "Description": The description of the code list.
