The "System Checks" screen shows the results of the system checks that Invantive Estate runs.
When a user logs on as "Application Manager" (see [[Invantive Estate/Subjects/Advanced/Settings|Settings]]) or as `System`, the application performs several system checks. When these checks generate errors, a pop-up window appears with the request to go to the screen "System Checks". The current versions of Invantive Estate run three system checks:
- The first check verifies whether all files are present and whether the file names contain no special characters.
- The second check verifies whether the URL in the browser is similar to the one in the settings. When you check the box "Execute Proposed Action" and subsequently click "Save Change", the settings are adjusted automatically. This functionality is useful, for example, when you have made a copy of an existing environment on a new location.
- The third check verifies whether the stored and real-time contract positions match.
The entry fields have the following meaning:
- "Execute Proposed Action": When checked, the application executes the proposed action when "Save Change" is clicked. The application cannot always execute the proposed action automatically, so manual actions can be required. An error message appears when the box is checked and "Save Change" is clicked while manual actions are necessary.
The following fields are display-only:
- "Code": The code of the system check.
- "Component": The part of the application to which the code relates.
- "Failure": When checked, a malfunction occurs within the application.
- "Explanation Problem": An explanation of the problem.
- "Explanation Importance": An explanation of the importance of the problem.
- "Proposed Action": A proposal to solve the problem.
