The subject "Units" registers units and their properties. A unit is an independent object of a certain product. In real estate development, a unit can be an office of the type "Gull". In automation, a unit can be a server of the type "Dell 2950" with serial number "123XBA". Each product has one unit with the unique identifier "0". This unit can be used for logistic functions if no unique identifier is known. This "0-unit" is created by the system. It is removed automatically when the product is deleted. The dealer is the first contact for the organisation that uses the unit. - "Location": The geographic location of the unit. - "Contact (URL)": Information on how to contact the unit, for example a web page or a telephone number. - "Icon (URL)": The Internet address of an image of the unit. - "Documents": The documents linked to the unit. - "Units (Quantity)": The total number of units. - "Explanation": An optional explanation. - "Confidential Notes": Confidential information about this unit, for example passwords. - "Special Note Available": Indicates whether the unit has a valid special note. - "Special Note": A special note about the unit, for example that the unit is stolen.
