The "History" pane lists the statements which have been executed with Invantive Query Tool Multi-Platform on this device, newest first, with what each of them cost. There is one list for the whole window; it does not follow the query tab in use. ![[20261007-qtm-history.png]] ## What Is Listed A statement is added to the list when it starts, with three dots in the last column, and its figures are filled in when it ends. Running the same statement again does not add a second line: the line moves to the new start and the figures of that run replace the previous ones. A statement is the same statement when its text is identical. The columns are: - "Execution Start (UTC)": the moment of the last start. - "Statement": the first line of the statement, followed by three dots when more lines follow. - "Executions": how many times the statement has been run. - "Duration (ms)", "CPU (ms)", "I/O (ms)" and "Sleep (ms)": the clock time of the last run, and the part of it spent computing, waiting for the platform and waiting on purpose, for instance for a rate limit. - "Rows": the number of rows returned or changed. - "API Calls" and "Partitions": the calls made to the platform, and the partitions they read. - "Succeeded": a check mark when the last run ended well, a cross when it failed, and three dots while it runs. Statements of [[Invantive Script]] which run on the device itself, such as `local export results`, are not listed. Neither are the statements which an export runs again to fetch the result once more. Only the newest 2,500 statements are read from the file when the product starts. ## Searching The search field above the list keeps the statements whose text holds the text of the field, irrespective of upper and lower case. ## Using a Statement Again - "Insert in Editor", a double click or the Enter key puts the selected statement in the editor of the query tab in use. In an empty editor it is the text of the editor. In any other editor it is added at the end, below an empty line, and the cursor is placed at its start. - "Copy Query" and the context menu put the text of the selected statements on the clipboard, oldest first, separated by an empty line. - "Remove from History" and the Delete key remove the selected statements from the list and from the file. ## The File The statements are kept in `sqlhistory.json` in the folder of the installation of Invantive Query Tool Multi-Platform. [[Invantive Query Tool/History|Invantive Query Tool]] for Microsoft Windows keeps its own file in its own folder, in the same format, so the two lists do not mix.
