This tour explores Invantive Studio on the demonstration database. The database needs no Oracle and no network. How to obtain and start it, and what the connection attributes `dummy-data-folders`, `dummy-data-writable` and `dummy-rebase` do, is described in [[Invantive Studio/Demo Database|Demo Database]]. The data is invented.
## Log On
- Start Invantive Studio.
- In the log-on window select "Studio demo (Dummy)" in the group "Various".
- Select "Connect". The log-on asks for no user name or password. The user is `SAMPLE`.
The following picture shows the data objects of the application in the demonstration database:

## What the Database Holds
The repository of the demonstration database holds one application: Invantive Producer, with the prefix `itgen`. It is the model of the repository itself, so every window shows the tables and views of the product that is running. The invented rows include:
- 52 tables with 1,660 columns, 145 business and reporting objects and 202 indexes;
- 47 referential constraints and 333 attribute rules;
- 41 modules and 345 functions;
- 8 roles, 1 user and 2 partitions;
- 8 codes with 34 code values;
- 184 languages, and 2 glossaries with 4 terms.
## Explore the Model
- Select the application in the tree and open its tables. See [[Invantive Studio/Repository/Applications/Tables|Tables]] and [[Invantive Studio/Repository/Applications/Table Columns|Table Columns]].
- Select a table and open the tabs with its columns, indexes and the business objects that use it.
- Open a business object and its elements. See [[Invantive Studio/Repository/Concepts/Business Object|Business Object]].
- Open the attribute rules of a table. See [[Invantive Studio/Repository/Applications/Attribute Rules|Attribute Rules]].
## Go to Definition
- Select a business object under "Used by Business Objects" of a table.
- Choose "Go to Definition" in the group "Navigate" of the tab "Home", or press `Ctrl+,`.
- The tree jumps to the business object under the application. See [[Invantive Studio/Ribbon/Go to Definition|Go to Definition]].
## Users and Rights
- Open "Role Function Matrix", "User Role Matrix" and "Application User Matrix" under "Security". See [[Invantive Studio/Users and Rights|Users and Rights]].
- With `dummy-data-writable` set to `true` a cell can be changed. The change lives in memory until the next log-on.
## Translations
- Select the application and open the "Translation Workbench". See [[Invantive Studio/Translation Workbench|Translation Workbench]].
- The demonstration database holds the texts in English and Dutch only.
## Limits
Generating software from the model, partitions and points in time rely on Oracle and are not replicated. See the limits on [[Invantive Studio/Demo Database|Demo Database]].
