A table stores the information of an application in rows, each row holding one or more pieces of information in its [[Invantive Studio/Repository/Applications/Table Columns|columns]], such as all relevant information on a person. The tables of an application are listed under the application as "Data Objects"; each table holds the folders "Columns", "Indexes", "Referential Constraints", "Attribute Rules", "Used by Business Objects" and "Used by Referential Constraints".

The options of a table decide whether it is created in the database, whether it keeps [[Invantive Studio/Repository/Concepts/History|history]], whether it takes part in [[Invantive Studio/Repository/Concepts/Partition|partitioning]] and which rights the roles of the application get on it. A table usually has a [[Invantive Studio/Repository/Concepts/Business Object|business object]] of the same name through which its rows are read and changed.
