A code domain is a list of allowed values with their meaning, such as the domain `sexe` with the value `M` for male. The domains of an application are listed as "Codes" and their values as "Code Values". A column that holds a value of a code domain ends in the code column postfix of the application, usually `_ind`. For every such column [[Invantive Studio/Repository/Concepts/Autocomplete|Autocomplete]] creates a list-of-values view, named by the "Template for LOV View Name" of the application, such as `<prefix>_lov_gender_r` for the column `gender_ind`, and a relation from the column to it. A screen then offers the values of the domain in a drop-down list, and the business layer refuses a value outside it. The code domain `<application code>_lov_view_name_to_code` itself tells autocomplete which alias to give each list-of-values view.
