What a user may see and change is decided by functions and roles: - A function is something that can be authorised, such as a list, a details screen or an action. Each screen of a product built on the Invantive Producer platform belongs to a function. - A role groups users, such as "Accounting". - A role function grants a role a function, for reading only or for reading and changing. - A user role makes a user a member of a role. - An application user gives a user access to an application, for reading only or for reading and changing. A user may use a function when one of their roles is granted it. "My Roles" lists the roles of the user who is logged on.
