A column whose value is computed from others is added to a business object as follows: - Open the business object in the tree and select its folder "Columns". - Choose [[Invantive Studio/Ribbon/Add|"Add"]]. - Enter the "Name" of the column and, in "Select Clause", the expression that computes it, using the aliases of the view elements, such as `ord.amount * ord.quantity`. - Enter its labels and switch "Derived" on. - Choose [[Invantive Studio/Ribbon/Save|"Save"]]. The column appears in the business object after the next [[Invantive Studio/Repository/Concepts/Generation of the Business Layer|generation]].
