An application described in the repository is installed in its database schema in four steps, in this order: - Create the tables, indexes and referential constraints: [[Invantive Studio/Repository/Procedures/Synchronise the Database with the Model|Synchronise the Database with the Model]]. - Generate the business layer - business objects, table logic, history and point-in-time views: [[Invantive Studio/Repository/Procedures/Generate the Business Layer|Generate the Business Layer]]. - Install the hand-written [[Invantive Studio/Repository/Concepts/Hook Package|hook packages]] and the [[Invantive Studio/Repository/Concepts/Master Trigger|master trigger]], which replace the empty packages the generation created. - Load the data delivered with the application, such as code values and translations, for instance from files made with [[Invantive Studio/Repository/Procedures/Export an Application to Files|Export an Application to Files]]. After a change to the model the same steps are repeated; the synchronisation and the generation change only what differs. Then mark the application as "Deployed" in its settings.
