The display control of a column decides how a screen shows and accepts its value. It is chosen in "Display Control Name" of the table column, refined with "Display Control Options", and can be overruled per column of a business object. The display controls in use: - `text`: a single line of text. - `textarea`: several lines of text. - `integer`: a whole number. - `amount`: an amount of money. - `percentage`: a percentage. - `datetime`: a date with a time of day. - `date`: a date. - `time`: a time of day. - `checkbox`: a check box, for a [[Invantive Studio/Repository/Concepts/Flag Column|flag column]]. - `picklist`: a drop-down list of the rows of a related table or of the values of a [[Invantive Studio/Repository/Concepts/Code Domain|code domain]]. - `plsql`: a code editor, for an expression or a block of procedural code. - `imagefromurl`: an image shown from the web address the column holds. - `icon`: an icon. - `url`: a web address, shown as a link. - `emailaddress`: an e-mail address. - `telephone`: a telephone number. - `file`: a file, stored in the column. - `xmldoc`: an XML document.
