Every command of Invantive Studio is secured by a function. A user may use a command when one of their roles is granted its function; see [[Invantive Studio/Repository/Concepts/Function Rights|Function Rights]]. The tooltip of a command ends with the code of its function. ## Product and Tree These functions decide access to the product and to the groups of the tree: - `itgen_studio`: use Invantive Studio at all. - `itgen_application_list`, `itgen_application_details`: the group "Applications" and each application. - `itgen_studio_security`: the group "Security". - `itgen_studio_setup`: the groups "Setup" and "Administration". - `itgen_<kind>_list` and `itgen_<kind>_details`: each folder and each row of that kind, such as `itgen_table_list` and `itgen_table_details`. ## Commands These functions secure the commands on the ribbon and on a row: - `itgen_connect`, `itgen_disconnect`, `itgen_configuration`, `itgen_preferences`: the group "Connection". - `itgen_help`, `itgen_release_notes`, `itgen_feedback`, `itgen_license`, `itgen_license_details`, `itgen_about`: the help commands. - `itgen_studio_goto_definition`, `itgen_studio_open_in_new`, `itgen_trace`, `itgen_studio_search`: navigation, trace and search. - `itgen_studio_distribute_sqlloader`, `itgen_studio_distribute_xml`: the exports. - `itgen_studio_autocomplete`, `itgen_querytool`, `itgen_translation_workbench`, `itgen_studio_translate_jasper_reports`: the development tools. - `itgen_studio_compare_applications`, `itgen_studio_compare_contents`, `itgen_studio_apply_patch`, `itgen_studio_merge_applications`: version control. - `itgen_refresh`, `itgen_audit`, `itgen_history`, `itgen_run_report`: the commands on a row. - `itgen_export_to_excel` and the other `itgen_export_to_` functions: the formats of [[Invantive Studio/Repository/Lists/Exporting a List|Export]]. - `itgen_discover_connections`: discovering databases. The window "Diagnostics" lists on its tab "Authorizations" every function with whether it is licensed and whether changes are allowed for the user who is logged on; see [[Invantive Studio/Ribbon/Diagnostics|Diagnostics]].
