Using Invantive Studio needs both a licence and a right: - The licence must include Invantive Studio. Without it, the product shows "You are not authorized to use 'Invantive Studio'." and closes. - The user must hold the function "itgen_studio" through one of their roles. Without it, the log-on is refused with "You have no access privileges for Invantive Studio as user ...". The groups of the tree and the commands on the ribbon each need a right of their own: - "Applications" needs the right to list applications, and each application node the right to view its details. - "Security" needs the right to the security of Invantive Studio. - "Setup" and "Administration" need the right to the setup of Invantive Studio. - [[Invantive Studio/Repository/Commands/Auto Complete|Auto Complete]], [[Invantive Studio/Repository/Version Control/Compare Applications|Compare Applications]], [[Invantive Studio/Repository/Version Control/Apply a Patch|Apply Patch]] and [[Invantive Studio/Repository/Version Control/Merge Applications|Merge Applications]] each need their own function. - [[Invantive Studio/Repository/Commands/Audit|Audit]] needs the right to audit. The ribbon hides a command without its right. A command reached all the same, for instance by its key combination, reports which function is missing; see [[Invantive Studio/Repository/Reference/Messages|Messages]]. How rights are granted is described in [[Invantive Studio/Repository/Concepts/Function Rights|Function Rights]].
