Invantive Studio uses some terms differently from the database and from other products. The terms in use: - Data object: a table. The tree lists the tables of an application as "Data Objects", while their lists and windows are titled "Tables". - Business object: a view through which the rows of one table are read and changed, named after the table followed by `_v`; see [[Invantive Studio/Repository/Concepts/Business Object|Business Object]]. The lists of business objects are titled "Business Objects" or "Database Views". - Reporting object: a reporting view, named after its subject followed by `_r`, which is read-only. - Element: a table or view joined into a business object, listed as "Elements" in the tree and as "View Elements" in lists. - Object usage: a business object used by a module, listed as "Object Usages" in the tree and as "Module View Usages" in lists. - Natural key: the key by which a user recognises a row; see [[Invantive Studio/Repository/Concepts/Natural Key|Natural Key]]. - Partition: a part of the data of an installation for one company or group; see [[Invantive Studio/Repository/Concepts/Partition|Partition]]. It is not the partitioning of the database. - Module language: the programming language or technology of a module, not a human language. - Resource code: a code standing for a text, translated per user; see [[Invantive Studio/Repository/Concepts/Resource Code|Resource Code]]. - Reporting date, point in time: the moment the point-in-time views show; see [[Invantive Studio/Repository/Concepts/Point in Time|Point in Time]].
