The window "Discover Databases" looks for databases on the workstation and in the network and adds them to the list of the [[Invantive Studio/Ribbon/Log In Window|log-on window]]. It opens at the first start, after an upgrade, when no databases are defined or when the left `Ctrl` key is held during start-up; when the last search is more than 90 days old Invantive Studio asks first. It also opens with "Discover Databases" in the log-on window and with "Configure..." in [[Invantive Studio/Ribbon/Configuration|Configuration]]. The window groups the databases per platform. A group offers a help button, "Download Driver", "Edit", "Add Database" and "Refresh". A database is included in the list with its check box, and its context menu offers "Edit", "Test Connection", "Duplicate", "Delete" and "Show in Settings Files...". "Search Databases" narrows the list. "Continue to Log On window" returns to the log-on window. During a search that Invantive Studio requires, the window closes by itself when the search is complete. Searching needs the right to discover connections.
