stmt_start --> stmt_0_0[RESULT_SET_OMIT_WHEN_EMPTY]:::quoted
stmt_0_0 --> stmt_end((END))
```
The `result_set_omit_when_empty`-hint extends the metadata of the result set by a hint for processing software such as [[Invantive Data Access Point]] that the result set is left out of the output when it has no rows. Without the hint, an empty result set is returned with its column headings only, such as a worksheet with a header row and no data.
The hint combines with [[Result Set Name]] and [[Result Set Serialization]]. Whether the result set is left out is decided on its rows, once they have been read.
## Examples
The worksheet `Rights` is only part of the Excel workbook of an Invantive Data Access Point preset when Exact Online refused at least one table:
```sql
select /*+ result_set_name('Rights') result_set_omit_when_empty */
rtw.notice
from ExactOnlineREST.Views.RequestTablesWithoutRights@eol rtw
```
